Proposed Quality Measurement Standards issued by the Ministry of Science and Technology.
1. SCOPE OF APPLICATION
This International Standard specifies requirements for the design and installation of self-extinguishing sprinkler systems
water, foam (hereinafter referred to as sprinkler system) in buildings and construction works
new or renovated.
This International Standard also applies to sprinkler-controlled, bc-head flood extinguishing systems
and remote control or manual.
This standard does not apply to extinguishing systems for:
- Buildings with special functions and technological equipment outside of those buildings;
- Underground underground chambers of the mining industry;
- Petroleum tank.

3. TERMS AND DEFINITIONS
This International Standard uses the terms and definitions given in TCVN 6305: 1997.
4. GENERAL PROVISIONS
4.1. Fire extinguishing systems designed in accordance with this standard shall have manual control.
4.2. Sprinkler systems shall be designed so that they can both function
fire fighting at the same time with automatic fire alarm function.
4.3. Sprinkler systems must be designed on the basis of the required production line technology
economic and technical criteria.
